Purposes

The purpose of the educational program in the direction of training 6B07208 Geology and exploration of mineral deposits is to form professional competencies for students in three specializations: oil and gas Geology, Geophysics and hydrogeology that meet the requirements of employers and for the economic growth of the Caspian region.
Defining learning goals with an emphasis on what students should be able to do is itself the first step to creating a targeted and effective curriculum, whether at the program or course level.
The main feature of the implementation of the educational program in the direction of training 6B07208-Geology and exploration of mineral deposits is the use of dual elements of training and configuration of the organization of educational work, based on the modular principle. The introduction of various educational technologies, e-learning, and distance learning technologies is taken into account when implementing the educational program.

Results

ON3 explains first aid techniques, methods of protection in emergency situations; solves problems with the use of information and communication technologies; uses basic knowledge of mathematics and natural Sciences; demonstrates knowledge in the field of measuring devices and makes drawings; shows the skills of visual identification of minerals by their physical, morphological, optical properties and their classification; explains how groundwater is formed and demonstrates knowledge of the basics of engineering Geology, classification of groundwater;

ON5 uses methods of geological research, macroscopic and microscopic determination of the composition, textures and structures of rocks and ores, the study of rock-forming and ore minerals; explains the theory of the occurrence of magnetic, gravitational, electric, wave and radioactive fields; applies the basic requirements for conducting prospecting and exploration for underground water; evaluates the characteristics and describes the features of underground water deposits;
ON6 makes a conclusion during the work of cartographic, geodetic, surveying, geophysical materials; subdivides the types and methods of geophysical work, as well as the main parameters; identifies methods of processing and interpretation of field; geophysical information uses the skills of field and laboratory research; evaluates the geological and geophysical study of the area and solves geophysical problems;
